2008 WISIL Hydrobowl Human Powered Boat Racing Results
Races held Sept 27th, 2008. HPB racing at it's finest! Weather was beautiful, with temps in the
low 80s
and low winds (1 to 7MPH). Thanks to race director Bob Buerger for making this event a success!

* Each brick weighs 3.75 lbs (dry). This means that Jake's HPB developed 61.875 lbs of static thrust.
New for 2008 was the inaugural 1 hour time trial.
This event was held on the same course as the 2K Crit event,
around the outside of the course buoys. This year the only contestants
were Jake
Free and Warren Beauchamp. Jake says that his speedometer showed that we had an
average water speed of over 8MPH
for the event, which would have been much higher if we hadn't been making those
70 U turns... The TT was held just before the 2K Crit,
which slowed Warren and Jake's crit speeds noticably.
This was not a points event.
