What are the rules concerning reusing bikes from previous competition years?

Hello Ventrelj,

According to Section V Subsection F of the 2016 ASME HPVC Rules, "Design credit will only be given for work done during the current academic year." Further clarification can be found in that section.

ASME HPVC 2016 Rules can be found in the following location;
https://community.asme.org/hpvc/m/default.aspx#_ga=1.8587637.1343355107.1447884556

If you have any further questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Will Hilgenberg

the ASME rules, as far as I remember, are that you cannot reuse a bike that has competed in the last 4 years. Also, if you are reusing a bike, expect a big penalty in the design score

No rules against it, AFAIK.
PS- I'm looking for the thread, in which a newbie was looking for information about linear drive, and this link may be of interest:
