If your wrists like to be bent little, then it's ok. Lowracer's setup is better for my wrists and visibility over handlebar is better.

Also DT's work better in lowracer because bar is higher and better positioned in relation to DT and their lever pivoting. I can upshift 3-4 gears in lowracer but 2-3 in MP and have mis-shifts more often with it. Part of that is caused by 9sp MTB RD...

What comes on having parallel grips it may be more aero but I'm using all my bents all the time on public roads. No sense to go extremes there.

Cheers,
-Mika

My latest stem mounts for DT's:

For lowracer,

and for MetaPhysic. This had Garmin Edge 500 mount in place, but will take instead wrist HR monitor like Suunto T6c which I use occasionally (like winter) and when daughter's riding.

-Mika

Looks good, narrow and has potential for more aero hand position.

You've done good job in fitting shifters. I decided to put my Double Taps to stem instead of bar. Might have some leg clearance issues but is very comfortable to use. Also using TT bar-end brake handles, those are likely little more aero than conventional ones and keep cables away from front vision. Like this:

This bar & stem setup is to be re-build from scratch by cutting mtb and DF bars to replicate this:

Which puts my wrists to ergonomically better position:

Heh, good evolution about getting hands positioned more for aero and ergonomics...

-Mika

I'm going to weld fixed bar & stem according to what I have in lowracer, from old MTB and other bars. That will go to MetaPhysic which has factory fixed setup where wrist angle is not good.

Aligning split tubes is little challenge but got that done in my V build.

-Mika
