I read today on Facebook that our friend Sam Whittingham is recovering in Hospital. However, I am unsure of the extent of his injuries, or the cause, whether it was a bike or skiing accident.
I am just passing along what I know; if anyone has information as to the details, please feel free to share.
Get well soon, Sam.

He posted to Facebook that he is now out of hospital and that recovery is only a matter of time.

Those who claim to be making history are often the same ones repeating it.

Sam had a mountain biking accident that left him partially paralyzed. At the hospital they discover that his spinal cord was bruised but not broken, and he is recovering quickly. He now has use of his arms and hands, and is expected to completely recover.
