We'll publish results later, but I just dumped the contents of my camera onto Flickr. 3 new albums:

The Pits:

The Saturday LCVMG Velomobile ride:

The Streamliner/Super-Street road race:

'Twas a darn near perfect day- a little windy, but sunny and mild.

Found a kindred soul on the Velomobile ride:

Hi Jeff,

Looks like a great event and that the velomobile roundup was a success. Where are all the stock bikes?

-Warren.

As Duncan said- I was playing hooky and herding cats around on the Velomobile ride around Portland. On Sunday I lead them on a 44 mile ride and finished just in time to get to the start of the 1 hour Stock/Super Stock road race.

I finished the race, but I only stayed at the front for 5 laps. At that point I bonked so hard I was getting double vision. Seriously... I had to ride with one eye closed. I've had this happen before and it's a symptom (for me) of impending hypoglycemia. I pitted, slammed a couple Clif Blocks and granola bars, and finished seeing just one race track.

I did notice that, while I was maintaining my pace, Rob English wasn't passing me quite as frequently as last year. I may have been doing 3 laps for every 4 of his vs. 2 for every 3 previously. It's getting better!

I'll link other people's photos as I find them.

On the road race Jeff was nice enough to provide a great wind shield for me and Todd for the early laps. I can really see the difference on my heart rate monitor for the laps that I drafted behind Jeff and Todd. After Jeff bonked I chased Todd and passed him, I am not sure where he went after that.

I really enjoyed the racing, I am going to have to make more time for racing events since this was too much fun not to enjoy more often.

My company's Websense blocks all flickr links. 8-(
And the dialup at home makes viewing photos painful.

Umm... sign up for a library account?

Yeah, frustrating- my company blocks Flickr links, too. I can't prove to my coworkers that I did what I said I did over the weekend.

Luckily for me, my company has product that is integrated with Flickr. Blocking flickr at my office would break all development, qa, support, etc. So I don't have that particular problem.
