Bill Murphy's brother Tom contacted me and said that Bill's catamaran is for sale for $100 OBO.

16 foot long fiberglass covered solid foam hulls, twisted chain fold up drivetrain.

If you want it you will need to pick it up in Naperville, IL.

Darn, that is just too far away ,,, such a bargain !

Coincidentally, I am trying to build a twisted chain peddle drive. From the instructions on the build section .I have a question.
#25 roller chain ? Can bike chain be used?
Are #25 sprockets similar to some bike sprockets?

Can't get mac master Carr to ship to Canada!

You can use standard BMX chain and it helps to loosen up the links. It takes much longer to twist the chain though. I think #25 chain is not roller chain.

Oops, my bad. I meant to ask about #25 1/4" pitch chain . And # 25 sprockets ?
I tried a bit of 9 speed chain and I don't think it will flex enough.
So should I try to find some bmx chain?
What is #25 1/4" pitch chain normally used for? Might help in my search.
