Greetings All!
It's time once again to make the list.
The bikes and riders list helps your friendly event organizer to have the correct awards and trophies on-hand and is also a chance for the entrants to more formally announce their participation, tell us about the rider(s) describe the bike and possibly brag about technical innovations, past accomplishments, special abilities and/or anything else you might like to add.

Thanks!

Al Krause

Team Policumbent from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) will be there again and with a bigger group: 10 students + me + Andrea Gallo + (maybe) our composite lamination partner Marcello Renna.

Rider: Andrea Gallo (1987 - M)
Bike: hopefully Taurus (running to finish and test before, some production delay and university exams still going on), details on http://www.policumbent.it/blog and https://www.facebook.com/policumbent.

New aerodynamic shape, new composite panel frame, new electronic FWD shifting with 11s and moving cassette (patent application in progress = no pictures for the moment).

Past achievements: 126.89 km/h (78.85 mph) in 2016 with PulsaR.

See you in BM!

time to revive this thread.

U of T will be there, with Eta Prime and Bluenose and an as yet undetermined number of riders. The bigger news is that Aerovelo will not be coming.

they've announced their riders (Ken is coming back, plus a new female rider) but it looks like they have a ways to go on the construction of Arion 3.

Entrants need to provide info so Warren can update the "racers" page at the WHPSC website. It is currently blank. The only info provided so far has been for Policumbent.

Liverpool's female rider is Becky Taylor, no previous form. Yasmin just had an operation on the damaged shoulder that kept her out of a boat and into the Scousemobile last year.

Alice is putting together the awards and trophies, if you are going to bring a multi-track, junior, arm, tandem, etc... we would need to know ASAP.
As we can't currently afford to make a trophy for everything we usually only make them for the participants we know will be attending.

THANKS

Al

I expect to be there competing this year. Working on integrating an old bike with a new fairing.

Vehicle Name: The REO Speedwagon
Year Built: Frame I think around 2000 by Kevin Berls. Fairing by me 2017.
Designer/Builder: John Jackson/Kevin Berls
Rider(s): John Jackson
Personal Best Speed: ?
Rider Nationality: USA

Kevin Berls page no longer comes up when I click on his build link but I bought this bike back around 2008 or 2009 from Bruce Gordon.

Hi all!

Team Delft & Amsterdam is coming with a huge group this year (21). We're bringing the VeloX 7. Specifically designed for our two new riders (Iris & Aniek), it is the most compact VeloX yet. Though there are no gigantic innovations, we focused on details and the 7 has performed beautifully so far. Both riders recently broke 70 (km/h not mph) and are aiming for much more.

Vehicle Name: VeloX 7
Year Built: 2017
Designer/Builder: Human Power Team
Rider(s): Iris Slappendel & Aniek Rooderkerken
Rider Nationality: Dutch
Class: Women's 200m flying start speed trial

See you in BM!

That's mainly because there are more or less no cycle race tracks in the wilds of northern Britain. I think I'm still the UK's only female velomobile rider, though.

The prospect of BM is super exciting and a wee bit scary, as a speed bike beginner amongst so many more experienced!
