These images show views of the Model 317 Beta Version ,

Coroplast™ and more Coroplast™

The Vehicle won't be complete until the Velo-Top roof is installed, but I wanted a new front, this is the Velo Top Roof set-up, on a different frame:

The model number "317" was derived by combining the '3' from 'Type 3' , with the 'Project 17' on the more recent Bike . Basically , it's a Coroplast™ version of the Fiberglass Fairing with the vertical wedge shape, but flared out , from the original acute 22° , to a more capacious obtuse 108° ...
The old Type 3:

The new design has more cargo space, in three compartments. Looking at ways of installing an acrylic windshield on top. This is the progress as of this date.

My company name "NFA Vehicles" is an abbreviation ; "Nuclear Fueled Aerospace Vehicles" is the full name, but since the Soviet Union collapsed on 17 March , 1991, we have been confined to working on Bicycles, in compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

You know I'm a fan. Please seriously consider mounting the front to the head tube instead of the forks. I found much more cross wind stability that way. If you want allow the lower cargo sections to mount on low rider racks and isolate the upper section.

I might do that, on some other bike, but this one belongs this way...

Some more photos... I appreciate your concern, but my next goal is to put a Tail Box on it, then the Velo-Top, and then , I'm afraid it needs a $1,000,00 set of wheels...

Some more equipment and accessories installed:

I plan on adding a Tail Box, if anyone has advice , please share ...

Air Horns.

Rear Rack : Planning to install a Coroplast Tail Box on this rack , What is the best angle to slant the Tail ? And are you measuring that angle face to face, or Centerline to the outside face ? Used an Aluminum Hockey Stick to make legs for the rack. The only Fiberglass on the bike is to secure the improvised rack-legs.

My box is 20" at the shoulders with 7-1/2" radius and tapers to 16" just below the knees. The length is 18" from the back of the seat and the vertical end plate is 8" wide. Fit the forward bulkhead angles as close to your body as comfortable.

For aero profile rims I am experimenting with plastic tubing, one large and two small on either side, covered with film or tape.

Thanks for that info. I'm taking my time on this project. I had the roof set up on the other mountain bike back in April / May, and it worked , but I only used it twice, on account it didn't rain much.

Tour gear: could be. Cf tubes frames 3/8" to hold 2 backpacks up front, & faced off w/poly windshield w/solar.

Touring: great vid when u have time.

Tail Box measures 14" high, 20" long, 12" wide at front, 4.3125" wide at the rear.

The Coroplast is pre-creased with a hammer and a chisel. This overcomes the tendency for the fold to follow the flutes :

It needs a little something on the underbelly, to hide the rack :

It will need a Big Chain Ring and a Spandex Body Sock , to get the most out of it...

I tried a similar size tail box using a plastic waste basket. The coast down test speed was the same as without a tail. Thanks for the tip on creasing the coroplast. When the nose is frame mounted I can make 'Lambo' doors.
