Hi everyone. I am new here. I would like to ask how to know a good motor rpm to make to bicycle go 65km/h?

I read about the recumbent bicycle that Matt build and he said about 580RPM for 50mph

Thank you

Most electric drivetrains use gearing to drop the high motor RPM (about 6000 RPM for the RC motors) to something appropriate for whatever wheel you choose.

You will need to choose your wheel size and a motor, then use that motors KV rating to calculate what gearing you will need to get the top speed you want. You can use the calculator web page below to help figure that out.
