I'm contacting fabrication companies for quotes to produce carbon fiber streamliner shell and mold.

I want a CAD file to get an accurate quote.

Something head out.

Can someone give me such a cad file or is it proprietary information? My cad skills are terrible.

Search for 'shell designer' software by Shook on this forums. A great piece of work - I'm using it to design my own shell - my CAD skills are not exactly great either.

It can export multiple formats including STL files, vertical stripes and horizontal cutouts.

Can one design a shell without a chassis and drivetrain already mostly nailed down (finished)? The evidence here on the boards is that even very experienced builders doing all the work themselves run into major design-changing issues during the builds.
