Directions to start: GWB ride

The ride meeting place is literally underneath the New Jersey end of the George Washington Bridge. This street is called Hudson Terrace. There is ample free parking along the street, though it may be necessary to ride a short ways to meet the group. The image below shows the meeting spot, though it's not that great on the details of exit ramps. If you really need more, just go to Mapquest and enter "Hudson Terrace, Fort Lee, NJ".

Public transit:
Probably best to take the subway and ride across the GWB (note: this is from a guy who does not live in NYC and who does not actually know this... city dwellers are encouraged to send in better inormation... email the webmaster, Andrew Douglas). For a subway map, visit the MTA website
.

Driving:
From the east (New York):

Take UPPER LEVEL of the George Washington Bridge. Stay to the right, in the #3 lane.

Exit - HUDSON TERRACE . The Exit U - turns .

Go to light. (The start point will be just to your right) Make left turn and park.

From the west (New Jersey):

Take Interstate 80 and follow the signs to the GW Bridge; use the Local lanes (IMPORTANT!).

Take the last exit in N.J. (It's marked as such; should read Fort Lee.)

Go straight off the exit. The street you're on (Bridge Plaza South) parallels the approach to the GW bridge, which will be to your left. You're heading straight twoards the river at this point. Follow this street a few blocks to HUDSON TERRACE, which you can't really miss because the street you're on ends here. Make a left turn, go under the bridge and park.

From the north (e.g. from Westchester/CT via the Tappan Zee Bridge)

Take the Palisades Parkway (accessible from I-87) south.

Take the very last possible exit before the bridge toll. It has no number. It's actually the next exit after Exit 1. It's labeled Hudson Terrace. It's not shown on the map below; in fact, it's right at the spot where the Palisades Parkway changes from red to beige.

After exiting, turn left, go under the overpass and drive for about half a mile. You'll see the GW Bridge approach overpass ahead of you. The meeting place is just beneath it.
