The Coslinger team Club Racer
is a concept for an easy to build fairing designed for use in HPRA or
other racing series. It consists of a composite nose cone, and 2D side
panels formed from Coroplast or another strong lightweight material. The
canopy is formed from 2D panels of a clear plastic such as Lexan or
Vivak. The extremely narrow nose of this fairing would require the use
of an very low Q BB and crank set, so modifications would need to be
made to standard low racer drive trains.
Thom and Charlie Ollinger may be offering this fairing as a kit to HPV racers sometime in the near future. A kit would most likely consist of the nose cone, and templates to cut out the side panels and canopy. |
