Fairing Seminar 3-28-98

Walt Smith is now attaching the first cut piece to the front of the T fitting. All that is needed is three pop rivets, make sure to use backing washers before installing the rivets on the outside surface of the coroplast, you can use aluminum rivets here to save weight.

You see where he is drilling the hole for the pop rivet....that is as high as you want to go to leave room to adjust the fairing height. Try to get a nice U shape out of the first piece before attaching it to the side supports (looking at it from the top view). 3 pop rivets on each side is all you need.
