2005 Indianapolis HPRA HPV Racing Pictures
Races held Sunday, April 24, 2005 in Mooresville, Indiana
Pictures by Jane Hunn and Jeannette & Patty Lindley, text by Jeff Hunn.
Saturday's racing was cancelled due to foul weather.
Racers make preparations on a less-than-ideal day (about 35 degrees, with 20-30 mph NW winds).

Another completely-unposed picture of racers before the event. From left: Bill Lozowski, Ray Brick, Paul Pancella, & Sharie Brick. Ray and Sharie drove up from South Carolina for the weekend’s racing, and were not prepared for the unseasonably-cold Indiana weather (not that the rest of us really were, either…!).
Seven (out of the nine) racers as the 25-lap race begins. From left: Frank Lindley, Jane Hunn, Doc Pearson, Paul Pancella, Bill Lozowski, Ray Brick, and part of Jeff Hunn.
Ray Brick on his beautiful home-built Velogenesis lowracer. Ray can build a bike for you (adult, child, streamliner, tandem, whatever); see his website at www.Velogenesis.com.
First-time HPV racer Andrew Prather rode one of the Infinity FWD low-racers, and did respectably under difficult race conditions.
Veteran Frank Lindley rides his Infinity FWD bike to victory in the SuperStreet class.
Long-time HPVer Doc Pearson races to victory in the Streamliner class. He is entitled to have #1 by virtue of having finished first overall in the Streamliner points race during the 2004 racing season.
Bill Lozowski, riding an M5 low racer leads Jeff Hunn, riding an M5 shockproof in the 25-lap race. Bill was the overall winner in the Outlaw Drag event, in addition to winning the lap race Sunday. He claims to prefer racing in cold weather; he also admits to using performance-enhancing training already this season…
Jane Hunn tries to stay warm riding the lap race on her Earth Cycles Sunset lowracer. She led the women’s class for most of the race, but succumbed to a flat tire with about 5 laps to go and did not finish.
The tall and the short: Paul Pancella on his Volae highracer and Sharie Brick on her custom Ray Brick-built lowracer in the Outlaw Drag event.
Jeff Hunn and Paul Pancella receive the white flag (for 1 lap to go) from Don Barry in the 25-lap race. Jeff and Paul finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Not pictured is Carolyn Lindley, whose scoring help was greatly appreciated.
