Dave Hardman brought a cool trike to race. This aluminum framed trike that he built has front wheel drive and front suspension.
He said that the rear end was not quite finished but it looked to me like all it needed was some paint.

Paul used the 'kerchief to prevent his large white beard from blowing up into his eyes while he was racing. The next weekend he shaved off he beard to make himself a bit more aero during the Sebring 12/24 hours event.

The day after the races the Northern contingent went to Shark Valley for a ride. It's 8 miles through the everglades to the lookout tower. We saw lots of alligators near and even on the trail, as well as egrets, heron and other water birds.

The lookout tower at twilight. As we went up the ramp to the tower we scared off a bunch of turkey vultures which were roosting on the sides of the ramp. very cool.
It quickly darkened as we started back to the cars. We road 8 miles in the dark. There was a moon but it was mostly behind the clouds, providing just enough illumination to see a bit of grey ahead of you indicating where the trail was. Fortunately there were no gators laying on the trail as we would probably not have seen them. We did have lights but mostly did not use them. Fun!
