Fast Freddy Markham has been racing HPVs since the 1980s, and has broken many records including being the first HPVer to break the 65MPH barrier. His enthusiasm has not waned. More recently, his daughter Tanya has joined him and ran at the WHPSC both in the Easy Racers GoldRush LeTour, and with Mackie Martin in the Double GoldRush. Fred also raced the Double GoldRush in 2001 with Chris Springer, and posted a speed of over 68MPH. Fred is also the third person ever to break 70 MPH.

Fred is now in possession of the Varna Mephisto, and used it to go 72MPH during the WHPSC2004. This year he wants to use it to take the fastest man in the USA title from Matt Weaver.

Tanya will be racing again this year, this time in the Varna Mephisto.
